The Pacific Medieval and Early Modern Consortium began during the 2026 Renaissance Society of America (RSA) meeting, where scholars from the Pacific Coast gathered together in person. The energy in the room was a testament to the vibrant scholarship happening across our region. Following the success of that gathering, the Pacific Medieval and Early Modern Consortium (PMEMC) was established. The community continues to evolve and emphasizes creating opportunities to meet and collaborate together, especially through in-person events. The community is committed to sharing information about upcoming events and calls for papers, and fostering intellectual exchange and collaboration across and between our various Pacific campuses.
